I grew up in New York City and studied art at the University of Bridgeport, CT. Beginning as a portrait artist with charcoal and pastels, it seemed unlikely I would end up in a pile of glass pieces, but my husband's over-extended schedule led me to take his place in a stained glass class. And, as they say, the rest is history.

For over thirty years I have been creating stained glass windows, mirrors and many other assorted decorating accents in glass. I am most often called upon to design and fabricate architectural glass for entryways and living spaces. Most of my creations are specially ordered, one-of-a-kind pieces, created for a particular space.

I founded Nadine's Folly in San Francisco, later moved to Texas and settled in Virginia. I have studied with Narcissus Quagliata, Dan Fenton, Norm Dobbins, Brock Craig and Avery Anderson. My work includes traditional copperfoil stained glass (Tiffany method), sandblasting, painting, fusing and slumping. My style is unique and my designs are often labor intensive and involved.

I have won the first prize in the Professional category of the Intrastar Glass Competition and my work has been exhibited at the Folk Art Museum in Rockefeller Center, New York, the First Cavalry Museum at Fort Hood permanent display and the Washington Technology Park. I have been featured in Adelphia's "Artscape" cable show and my work is included in numerous private and public collections and has been shown in galleries and exhibitions. My work is featured in the book "Flowers in Art: Contemporary International Artists" by Cindy Ann Coldiron (Schiffer Publishing, 2013). I was the president of the National Capital Art Glass Guild from 2007 to 2013 and I am on the board of the International Guild of Glass Artists.

Glass is my passion. From hot to cold, huge to miniscule. My only requirement is that it has to be unique, individual, and elegant.

I really like the fact I can control every aspect of the creative process. When I am finished, I'm very proud to have created something that brings joy and pleasure into people's lives.
